The World’s Strongest Drinks

Image result for The World’s Strongest Drinks

Strong Alcoholic beverages are well-known for their efficiency in “getting the job done,” so to speak.

Highly alcoholic beverages throughout American culture have been associated with manliness, strength and maturity. It’s no wonder why, in a crowd full of Shirly temple drinkers, the one who orders a dry martini gets a few more style points.

But, how strong is really strong? Most drinks at American bars won’t go beyond 25% alcohol, and virtually all of those super manly drinks don’t exceed a volcanic 40%.

Around the world, America’s manly drinks are chasers at best.

Get ready to meet a few of the world’s most elite beverages – consumed by only the most expert drinkers. Amateurs beware.

  • Absinthe (45% – 72% ABV)

We’ll start with one of the more light-weight options that would tank just about everyone you know.

This drink is best known for its hallucinogenic effects, which will send you in to a realm of grandeur freeze you in stupor. It’s typically made with wormwood bark.

It’s fittingly marketed alongside a skull.

  • Bacardi 151 (75.5% ABV)

They say you reap what you sow. Well, this beverage will likely reap you.

Coming in at a mind-boggling 75.5% ABV, this stainless steel flame trap bottle from Hell will quickly discard you. Only a few drops are powerful enough to complete sweet cocktails like mojitos or daiquiris.

  • Good ol’ Sailor Vodka (85% ABV)

No winter is cold enough to dowse the flame you’ll ignite with this drink.

This vodka is a favorite of the Swedish people, who endure winters that sink temperatures below -20 degrees Fahrenheit on a warm day.

Though scarcely known throughout the rest of the world, this vodka has become legendary in the frozen wastes of the world as an eternal source of warmth.

  • Bruichladdich X4+1 Quadrupled Whiskey (92% ABV)

Run for the hills, or perish.

This is the world’s most powerful single-malt. Its existence is made possible by one of the most pristine distillation processes in the world, leaving no room for impotence. This whiskey is not only powerful, but because of its purity, it barely tastes like alcohol going down.

It’s a silent killer.

  • Everclear (95% ABV)

Known throughout the world for its 95% alcohol content, Everclear is a grain alcohol that many leave for the last slot on their Bucket List. Why? Because it will likely kill you.

The beverage is so strong and perfectly distilled that you won’t taste or smell it going down. It might as well be water. The most dangerous water on Earth.

It’s also the only drink on this list actually manufactured and sold in America, though its consumption is not seen as more than a party drink rather than a beverage readily consumed.

While it has a strong reputation, it’s not the strongest beverage in the world. Compared to #1, it’s also hardly ever consumed on a regular basis, which says more about how terrifying # 1 really is…

  • Spirytus Rektyfikowany (96% ABV)

Sitting in at the number one slot worldwide is the mythic Polish vodka known as Spirytus Rektyfikowany.

While incredibly difficult to pronounce, this vodka will leave you more than just speechless. This beverage is the reason why Polish culture touts its superior drinking ability over the rest of the world.

Because this is a frequent-flyer on Polish drinking shelves, they’ve certainly earned that reputation.
